Step By Step Guide
ElevenLabs is a pioneering AI company specializing in advanced speech synthesis. Its conversational AI agents are a must-know due to their ability to create natural, human-like interactions, offering extensive customization options, scalability, and innovative features like dynamic prompting and interruption handling, making them ideal for various applications from customer support to gaming, thereby enhancing user experiences across different industries.
Step 1: Set Up Your ElevenLabs Account
Click here to go to the ElevenLabs website and create an account.
Navigate to the dashboard after logging in.
Ensure you have API access, which may require a subscription plan depending on your needs.
Step 2: Access the Conversational AI Agent Section
From the dashboard, locate the navigation menu on the left-hand side.
Scroll down and click on the "Conversational AI Beta" section.
Click on the "Create an AI Agent" button.
Step 3: Choose an Agent Template
You will be presented with four templates:
Blank Template: Start from scratch.
Support Agent: Ideal for customer service.
Video Game Character: For interactive gaming experiences.
Math Tutor: Assists with solving math problems.
Select the template that best suits your project. For instance, if you're building a customer support bot, choose "Support Agent."
Step 4: Customize Your Agent
Name Your Agent:
Provide a name for your agent (e.g., "Customer Support Bot").
Set the First Message:
Define what your agent will say when it starts interacting with users (e.g., "Hi! Welcome to our service. How can I assist you today?").
Define the System Prompt:
Write instructions that guide your agent’s behavior (e.g., "You are a friendly and helpful support agent named Michael. Respond in 3–7 sentences with enthusiasm.").
Select an AI Model:
Choose a model based on your needs:
GPT-4 Turbo: For detailed and versatile responses.
Claude 3.5: For technical or coding-related queries.
Gini 1.5 Flash: For faster but less detailed responses.
Add Knowledge Base Items (Optional):
Enhance your agent’s knowledge by linking URLs or documents it can reference during conversations.
Step 5: Test Your Agent
Save all configurations by clicking the "Save" button.
Use the "Test" feature to interact with your agent in real-time.
Example interaction: Ask questions or simulate user queries to evaluate its responses.
Refine its behavior based on test results by adjusting prompts or settings.
Step 6: Deploy Your Agent
Once satisfied with testing, deploy your agent to desired platforms (e.g., web, mobile apps, or telephony).
Monitor its performance using built-in analytics tools provided by ElevenLabs.
